Strong Cabin at Hogback Ridge Park

The Strong Cabin is located in Hogback Ridge Park in Madison. It is in a private, rustic area with a beautiful panoramic view of the Grand River. This cabin offers two bedrooms, each with two sets of bunk beds. Living room with wood-burning fireplace, Adirondack type chairs and two futons. Kitchen with stove and oven, full-size refrigerator, sink, microwave, table and chairs and wood-burning stove for heat. Pond for fishing for cabin guests only.


Resource Center at Hidden Valley Park

Ranch-style cabin with covered front porch is in a semi-secluded area. The cabin sleeps 8 and offers: Two bedrooms with two sets of bunk beds. Living room, wood burning fireplace, full kitchen, full bath. Hiking trails and wetland/pond for fishing, within walking distance.


Rustic Tent Camping

Lake Metroparks offers a camping “rustic” experience for small groups of up to eight people staying in tents. Campers must hike or paddle to the campsites. The sites are set back from the developed areas of the parks from about ¼-mile to more than a mile. Each location is different and provides a quiet, intimate natural experience. Reservable tent camping sites are available May 1 through November 30 (Labor Day for River Road Park campsite); year-round camping available at Girdled Road Reservation. Reservations can be made up to 3 pm one day prior to arrival fee applies. There is a limit of three outstanding permits at one time with a three night limit on each reservation. The renter must be 21 years of age or older.
