No matter where you stay, one thing is certain: you'll find yourself just a short drive to Ohio's winery trail, a host of area attractions, great shopping, breathtaking lake views, historical sites and landmarks, nature centers, parks, charter fishing on Lake Erie and an ever-changing list of events and festivals.
Rustic Tent Camping
Lake Metroparks offers a camping “rustic” experience for small groups of up to eight people staying in tents. Campers must hike or paddle to the campsites. The sites are set back from the developed areas of the parks from about ¼-mile to more than a mile. Each location is different and provides a quiet, intimate natural experience. Reservable tent camping sites are available May 1 through November 30 (Labor Day for River Road Park campsite); year-round camping available at Girdled Road Reservation. Reservations can be made up to 3 pm one day prior to arrival fee applies. There is a limit of three outstanding permits at one time with a three night limit on each reservation. The renter must be 21 years of age or older.
