There is plenty to do, see and eat for the whole family at the 38th annual Village Peddler Festival held on Saturday, September 14 (10am-6pm) and Sunday, September 15 (10am-5pm) at Lake Metroparks Farmpark in Kirtland. The hillside’s beauty and charm are the perfect setting for the 175 craftsmen and artisans selling their handmade wares along the shaded paths of this outdoor American marketplace. The variety of unique one-of-a-kind gifts and home décor in styles of traditional, country, contemporary, farmhouse and fine art is truly amazing. Your shopping experience is enhanced by the sound of toe-tapping folk and bluegrass music of The Silver String Band.
For the active members of the family there is a whole Farmpark to explore! Wagon rides, corn maze, paved trails, nature and plant science centers, milking cows and making ice cream, a farm-themed playground and of course a collection of farm animals to meet!
Satisfying your hunger are plenty of traditional festival food options such as burgers and sausage sandwiches, gourmet pizza, fresh lemonade and to top it off, homemade pies and ice cream. Don’t forget to take home some kettle corn and visit the harvest market filled with locally grown produce, plants, and goodies.
