This folk music festival will feature outstanding folk and bluegrass music on an indoor stage, plus workshops and old-time and bluegrass jams indoors and outdoors. Spend the day in Willoughby and watch, play, listen, dance. Note our new location - we have moved from Kirtland!
Daytime workshops, jams and concerts are noon-5pm. There’s a dinner break 5-7:30pm (great restaurants in downtown Willoughby!), then the indie folk duo Madison Violet from Toronto at 7:30pm on the main stage, plus Matt Watroba and folknet president Charlie Mosbrook, original singer/songwriters all.
Bring your instrument to jam around the grounds, where the music can get pretty rollicking. Professional musicians, students and amateurs are welcome, as well as appreciative audiences and the music-curious. Come to master classes and beginner workshops on hammered dulcimer, Irish fiddle, clawhammer banjo, song writing, various jam genres and much more, all included in the price of admission. Families can enjoy music-related activities. Great food, plus wine and beer available.
The festival is produced by Northeast Ohio Musical Heritage Association, whose mission is to provide venues and opportunities for the performance, sustenance and preservation of folk music in our region. Our goal is to create experiences that inspire a personal love and appreciation of folk music. NEOMHA also produces the Lake Erie Folk Fest in Euclid, in collaboration with Shore Cultural Centre.
